Wildfire Disaster Response & Support


Current Status: ACTIVE – Supporting Southern California Wildfire Victims

Currently in need of Foster Homes to provide temporary housing for victim’s cat(s) of the California Wildfires.

MEOW co. Foster Guardians will provide a safe place to stay for the displaced felines until their owners can pick them up and take them back in. 

*current time commitment for emergency fostering is open ended until the owners can reclaim their pet(s). If the owner decides to relinquish full custody of their pet(s), the displaced feline will be added to the MEOW co. Cat Shelter’s Foster Program and provided and opportunity to find a new home.

The MEOW co. Cat Shelter will provide FREE veterinary services for displaced felines taken into out emergency foster program. This includes health and wellness exam, antibiotics, wound care, and vaccines.  *Please note, that the MEOW co. Cat Shelter is NOT an Emergency Clinic and cannot accept pets with life threatening injuries or offer surgery services. 

By completing the application below, you’ll be added in to our Disaster Response Support List and assigned to the requested area of support. During an emergency, our teams will be dispatched within 12-24 hours. The MEOW co. ALLY Disaster Response Team provides assistance with the transportation of displaced pets/animals to either an assigned emergency shelter or to a staging location for Foster Guardian Pickup. Volunteer positions placement varies with physical requirements*
